  • Description:

    We are actively seeking a driven, professional, qualified and focused lead asbestos surveyor to join our growing team.

    Ideally, we are looking for someone who has 3-5 years experience in a lead surveyor role and a knowledge of UKAS accredited reports and requirements.

    A good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and good IT skills are essential alongside good verbal and written communication with the ability to talk to clients.

    Job Role;

    • Asbestos surveying and sampling for all types of properties throughout the UK but primarily in the North.

    • Assisting the teams with day to day duties and ongoing contracts on all types of property. Willing to travel to assist ongoing national work.

    • Data input into inhouse asbestos software and checking CAD plans.

    • Dealing with client enquiries.

    Candidate Requirements:

    • The candidate must be highly organised, able to work alone or with the team, ability to work on multiple duties and ensure the team is working efficiently and to the required time scales.

    • Full driving license essential.

    • Requires P402 minimum and preferably P405 qualification.

    • Experience in surveying of commercial and industrial properties essential alongside a good knowledge of domestic properties.

    • Cleared for working in schools and MOD sites preferred.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: £26,000 - £31000 per year

  • We are looking for a Demolition Supervisor for an immediate start, working on a number of soft strip projects in the Northeast area. (Local work only)

    THE ROLE:

    The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and be able to converse with various clients and sub-contractors as well as managing their expectations.

    You will be responsible for managing operatives, working in line with method statements that the company provides along with having the capability of making your own amendments.

    Ensure that the work is carried out in a methodical sequence, efficiently and more importantly safely.

    You will be required to complete all day-to-day paperwork associated with the site supervisor’s role.

    Must hold Demolition specific training including CCDO Gold Supervisor Card or Chargehand Card. CCPS preferable.

    RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

    You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of:

    • MUST have experience working as a Demolition Site Supervisor .

    • Work as part of a team and a team player.

    • Have Asbestos Awareness Training.

    • Have first aid training.

    • A Full UK Driving license.

    • Strong work ethic.

    • At least 3 years’ experience within the demolition industry.

    • Experience of main contractors and sub-contractors’ projects.

    • Overseeing H&S.

    • Management and coordination of direct resource, sub-contractors etc.

    • Good leadership qualities.

    • Previous experience on delivering individual projects on time and within budget.

  • Job Introduction

    We have ambitious plans for the future and are currently looking for the best people to join us. We need people who can think differently about how to solve problems. We are currently looking for a Senior Asbestos Laboratory Analyst and a Lab Analyst. This is a full-time, permanent role where you will be based in our Lab in Peterlee. We are offering a basic salary of between £22,000 - £26,000 depending on skills and experience.

    Main Responsibilities

    · Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.

    · Preparing samples for analysis.

    · Carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.

    · Reporting analytical findings.

    · Ensuring appropriate storage and retention of samples.

    · Generating certificates of analysis and issuing to clients, and getting involved with other general laboratory and administrative duties.

    · Referral of any potential work to management team members and ensuring that any upcoming major projects are provided for

    · In general, the applicant will be flexible, have good work ethic and have the ability to carry out the work effectively and within required turnaround times.

    Requirements

    · BOHS Proficiency Certificate in Analysis of Asbestos in Bulk Materials (P401)or equivalent is essential

    · Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

    · Knowledge of laboratory procedures

    · The ability to identify the 6 regulated forms of asbestos, including reference QC samples and working samples (the range of samples tested must reflect those in which you have been trained. All matrices encountered must be covered to include: textured coating, composite materials, insulants, boards, debris)

    · Authorisation as per UKAS document Lab 30

    · Working knowledge of HSG248 Asbestos The Analysts’ Guide

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    · Hands on experience of using technical equipment
